Happy 2014!
Are you guys ready for the New Year? For a fresh start and a whole new set of goals?
Today begins a new book with 365 pages, write a good one!
2013 was an ok year, I did great the first half of the year getting to a total loss of 50lbs, I had my food allergies in check, and was cutting down my thyroid meds with each doctor’s visit.
Then I lose my way…and I’m still struggling. I started eating things I’m allergic to again, mainly gluten and dairy, which lead to more gut damage and a whole new batch of food allergies. I don’t even know why, I think I got cocky about my success and just got a little over confident.
This last allergy panel cam back last month with a positive allergy to the following:
The two major allergens are still an issue:
- Gluten
- Dairy
But now I have a whole bunch of new stuff:
- Beef
- Mushrooms
- Bananas
- Peanuts
- Garlic
- Black Pepper
- Pinto Beans
Basically all the things I was eating on a regular basis trying to recover from my two major allergen foods, gluten and dairy. Oy, garlic has been a major challenge and I really want a big fat burger!
But it’s not all bad, I have recovered from these:
- Kidney Beans
- Asparagus
- Sesame
- Cranberry
- Eggs
- Pecans
Along with these, my Hashimoto’s has fired back up again and my Thyroid meds are back up to 2 grain…after I had gotten down to half a grain from 4 grains!
I guess success doesn’t come without set backs. So 2014 will be the year of health for me. I have to get these food allergies wrangled or who know what other ugly health issue I will suffer.
Keep on fighting guys, I’m sure not giving up!
